Common Piratefish Questions and Answers
Q: Do I have to use Ubuntu Linux to use your guide? I have a Linux distro I like and I want to use it instead.
A: No, you do not have to use Ubuntu Linux. The Piratefish was designed with the new Linux user in mind and was written to provide help in getting a working Piratefish server operational in the least amount of time. Ubuntu installs very quickly and has an excellent set of pre-compiled binaries for all the necessary pieces of the Piratefish system.
If you feel confident that you can download, compile and install all the applications needed, then you can easily use my instructions to help you do the final configuration of each piece of the system and build your own Piratefish on any Linux distro you desire.
The core packages used by the Piratefish are: Webmin, Postfix, MailScanner, SpamAssassin, and Clam Anti Virus.
Q: Can a Piratefish by placed in front of an MS Exchange Server?
A: Yes.
