Piratefish Requirements

To build a Piratefish Anti-Spam System, you need a dedicated PC to run the Linux OS and software.

Multiple Piratefish Anti-Spam Systems can provide greater throughput than a single device.

Minimum System Requirements:

Intel, AMD or compatible PC CPU, 700mhz
At least 512mb RAM
2 gigabytes of hard disk space
Supported Ethernet Card
CD-ROM drive

Recommended System Configuration:

Intel or AMD CPU (no Celeron or Duron processors) at least 1.8ghz
1 gigabyte of RAM
40 gigabytes of hard disk space
Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks (aka RAID)
High-Quality Ethernet Card
CD-ROM Drive

Recommended System Configuration for MailWatch support:

Intel or AMD Server-Class CPU
2 Gigabytes of RAM
200 gigabytes of hard disks pace
RAID w/buffered writes
Fast Networking (100 megabit or faster)
CD-ROM Drive

Other Requirements:

Ubuntu Linux Server, the latest version - currently version 7.10
All other needed software is obtained from the Linux server itself.
